Sunset Drive-In

The Sunset Drive-In has been a fixture of San Luis Obispo's cultural landscape since 1951, making it one of California's longest-running drive-in theaters. The single-screen, 500-car lot on Elks Lane delivers an intimate outdoor cinema experience just minutes from downtown SLO and Cal Poly. Tune your car radio to 100.7 FM for theater-quality stereo sound, and settle in for a double feature — the Sunset shows two movies on most nights of the week. General admission is $12 for adults and $5 for children ages 5–11, with ages 4 and under free. Note that the Sunset is cash only with no ATM on-site, so plan ahead before you go.
