The Sandhills Drive-In opened in 1994 and has become Alliance's signature summer entertainment destination, screening classic and second-run films against the vast Sandhills sky of Box Butte County. The single-screen theater holds up to 265 cars and charges a flat $8 per person, with a family deal of $30 for four. The Sandhills operates from June through September, making it the most westerly active drive-in in Nebraska and a must-visit for fans of wide-open-sky outdoor cinema.
