Jesup Drive-In Theatre

Jesup Drive-In Theatre is one of Georgia's oldest operating drive-ins, established in 1948 in the small South Georgia city of Jesup. The theater expanded to two screens in the mid-1970s, earning its local name "Jesup Twin Drive-In." It operates Friday through Sunday during the summer season and opens for select Christmas-break dates in winter. Carload admission is $20 for standard vehicles, making it an exceptional value for a double feature. Individual tickets are $9 for adults and $8 for children. One of Jesup's distinguishing policies is its food permit system: guests can bring outside food and beverages for a $20 per-vehicle permit — a rare and family-friendly option among modern drive-ins. The theater sustained significant damage from Hurricane Helena in October 2024 but successfully reopened in spring 2025, demonstrating the community's commitment to keeping this historic venue alive.
